Knowing Isn't Half The Battle

Ok, so it's been a while since my last post, but that's not really anything you haven't been able to expect from me. In fact, the only one worse at this whole blogging thing is Frank. Maybe it would help to know that I do think of this blog regularly, almost weekly, which is how often I'd like to post, but unfortunately nothing ever goes on in my life worth writing about (this of course is my own damn fault).

So, since I'm in fact posting this, you might have guessed that I do actually have something to report.

I've been working crazy hours trying to make up for all the useful programming knowledge that has atrophied while I did my stint at the IOL. What I mean to say is that I write code from 8 am to 7 pm every day and then from 7:30 pm to 12 am, I rewrite it so that it's actually logical, structured, and efficient. Doing everything twice is not only stupid, but not having any down time is starting to manifest itself in a slew of medical ailments of which include nausea, stomach cramps, acne, and excess body hair. Just kidding about the body hair, that was already there.

Let's see, I've spent the last month's worth of weekends reading some books, seven actually, well actually it was 6 books and a short story, well to be completely honest it was physically just two books. There really isn't much to say about the first book except that I bought it in the humor section and while reading it laughed only twice. It did have interesting factoids and trivia in it...so it wasn't all that bad. The second book which took the majority of the time to read was great up until the end. That's not to say that I liked the book in its entirety, what I'm trying to say that the last two stories were not that good. The short story had no relevance to any of the other books making it useless, and the last book felt rushed and unsuccessfully tries to package everything up nicely in the end.

Switching gears, I've had the unique opportunity to get a sneak preview of a new product from the Coca~Cola company. Meet Coke BLAK (the k makes it cool). It's coffee flavored coke. You might not be aware of this but Coke was started and is still headquartered in Atlanta. A coworker's girlfriend's mother works for the company, and my coworker was nice enough to snag me a bottle.



I'm not sure if what I received was just a sample of if they plan to package the drink in small 8oz glass bottles instead of their usual 20oz plastic ones. It doesn't mention anything about containing extra caffeine or being an energy drink, so I can only guess it's a sample size. I got to say that the coffee flavor is subtle, which is nice because they ruined Lemon Coke by making the lemon flavor too strong. But this was nice, I think I'd place it up there with my other favorite Coke flavor, lime. Coke Blak however would not be my first choice as a thirst quencher, I think of it more as an after diner drink. Perhaps a night cap.

Ah-ha... first post, alas I knew it was coming. On the positive side, everything in your post was news to me (minus Hitchikers)... wait, or is this negative in the fact that you apparently don't tell me anything?? (Well.. you tell me everything about the kids, and that is what really counts... thanks sweetie!!)

What the F was that Katamari thing! I tried to mute the music (being at work) but it only made it louder! (A very nice touch if you ask me) But all I would do is collect a couple of ducklings then send them scattering after I accidently clobbered the Katamari.

Also Devil Fish has to be my favorite piece (it's all the way to the bottom). I would be depressed too if I had an evil squid stuck to my head. I think it is step one in becoming a mind flayer

I like commenting on blogs too. Too bad Bastardface, Zipy, and Doom went ahead and moved to another blog hoster that requires a membership to comment. I say nuts to that... (shakes fist) nuts damn it.

I’ve been watching Bleach, it’s a great show. The problem is, I watched roughly 60 episodes in the span of 72 hours, and now that I’m caught up I'm purposefully not watching so that I can totally engross myself in it after a month or two.
